Adam Eickmeyer:
Adam B. Eickmeyer, MPH, is the academic director of the Health Sciences Scholars Program (HSSP) in the U-M College of Literature, Science, & the Arts and is a senior researcher in pediatric urology at Michigan Medicine. He has an interdisciplinary background in health disparities, public health, and policy. His research interests include decision making and risk communication related to neonatal circumcision; HIV and LGBTQ health is a policy and advocacy interest. In HSSP, he teaches first-year students across the health disciplines: pre-med, nursing, kinesiology, engineering, business, and more. He helps students view health care as a team sport, identifying who the players are and how each makes the team stronger. He is interested in interprofessional education regarding cultural humility and LGBTQ health, as well as promoting IPE starting in students’ undergraduate years.
