IPE in Action
The Michigan Center for Interprofessional Education is pleased to present U-M’s first-ever IPE in Action event! At IPE in Action, students will learn about each other’s disciplines by working through a case scenario. Students, faculty and administrators from all of the health science schools will likely make this the largest educational gathering at U-M ever!
WHO: More than 1,200 students from the 10 U-M health sciences schools (Ann Arbor, Flint, Dearborn) will attend as part of courses they are taking within their programs. There will also be more than 100 faculty members in attendance.
WHAT: Learn about the roles of different professions by working through a case scenario in an interprofessional team.
WHERE: Crisler Center, 333 E. Stadium Blvd, Ann Arbor, MI 48109
WHEN: October 17, 3-5pm
This event is a gathering of students who are required to attend as part of a program/course mandate OR encouraged to attend as part of a program/course/faculty recommendation. If you are unsure whether or not you are required or encouraged to attend, please feel free to contact us at IPEcenter@umich.edu.
Students who are required to attend as part of a program/course mandate do not have to register for the event.
Students who are not required to attend but choose to do so must register for the event by September 23 at 11:59pm.

Entrance to Event
All event participants (students, faculty, and staff) will enter Crisler Center through the Service Entrance. This entrance faces parking lot SC1 and is near the junction of Crisler Center and Michigan Stadium.
You will be notified of your table and group assignment before the event. Please take note of this before entering the event in order to ensure swift entry into the arena. There will be staff to help you find your table/group location once you are inside. If you do not know/remember your table/group assignment, we will have assignments posted for you as well as staff available to help.

Photographs, recordings, and quotes will be taken at this event for use in University of Michigan websites, publications, and in the press, as well as in U-M marketing materials and on social media.
Getting to Crisler Center
Crisler Center is located on South/ Ross Athletic Campus at 333 E. Stadium Blvd. From the Central Campus Transit Center (in front of the North University Building), it is a 25-30 minute walk.
If taking the M-Bus on campus, we highly suggest downloading the “DoubleMap Bus Tracker” App and searching for “University of Michigan Magic Bus” routes. DoubleMap is a real-time bus tracking system. You can choose the routes (suggested routes below) you want to see, view bus locations in real time, and get ETA predictions for the stops you use.
Commuter North: The Commuter North begins at Crisler Center and ends at Glazier Way, connecting South Campus with North Campus via Central Campus, the Hill area, and the Medical Campus, and serving destinations including the Michigan Union, Central Campus Transit Center, University of Michigan Hospitals, and Pierpont Commons. Unsure About Which Bus to Take?
The easiest way to plan a trip using transit – especially if you’re unsure about which route to take or what time to take it – is to use the Google Transit trip planning widget on this page. Alternatively, go to maps.google.com and use the Directions tool (be sure to specify “transit” as your mode of travel).
The trip planner will automatically select the best bus route for you to take, based on your origin and destination.
Ann Arbor Students:
Students who have a Student Yellow/ After Hours pass can park in the Yellow and Orange lots in the area directly surrounding Crisler Center. All available parking options can be found in the bottom left area of this map. Lots SC4, 5, 6, 16, and 7 are the closest options.
Students who do not have a Student Yellow/ After Hour pass may be able to find street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods, but we strongly advise you to either take a bus or walk to the event.
We have reserved a select number of parking spaces adjacent to Crisler Center for you. Please contact Lindsay Telega at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like one of the available spaces, and she will provide instructions. There are limited spaces available and they will be given to those who contact Lindsay on a first come first serve basis.
Ann Arbor Faculty:
There are Yellow and Orange lots available in the area directly surrounding Crisler Center for faculty. All available parking options can be found in the bottom left area of this map. Lots SC4, 5, 6, 16, and 7 are the closest options. Gold and Blue permits are valid in Yellow and Orange lots.
UM-Flint & UM-Dearborn Faculty:
Flint and Dearborn faculty and staff will any valid UM-Flint or UM-Dearborn parking permit can park in the Yellow and Orange lots surrounding Crisler Center. All available parking options can be found in the bottom left area of this map. Lots SC4, 5, 6, 16, and 7 are the closest options.
