CIPE 10 Year Anniversary Celebration
Healing Through Teamwork, Connection, and Relationships
Thank you to all of the educators, clinicians, and learners from across U-M and Michigan Medicine who participated in this milestone event on Oct. 9, 2025. The celebration featured a keynote from Dr. Thomas Lee, Chief Medical Officer of Press Ganey, and interactive workshops on leadership and relationship-building. The day also featured an interdisciplinary panel of local and national voices, honored our exemplary 2025 IPE Awards recipients, and explored the future of team-based care.

Larry Prout Jr.’s Story Illustrates Impact of Interprofessional Care
At birth, Larry Prout Jr. was diagnosed with spina bifida, short bowel syndrome and other complex conditions. Now 24 and having undergone over 115 surgeries and care from more than 15 clinical teams at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, Larry’s life has become a testament to his own resilience and the power of interprofessional care.
Celebrating Chloe Miwa’s Fellowship Journey with the Center for Interprofessional Education
Chloe has completed her Michigan Medicine Administrative Fellowship, where she dedicated her second-year immersion to working with the Center. She will soon transition to the next phase of her professional journey as she begins medical school at Duke University, a significant step that reflects her continued commitment to leadership, learning, and service in health care.
